Durac, Thal Commander

A write-up of Durac, Thal Commander on the planet Galentor, from Tyranny of the Daleks.  This is using the second edition rules from the Doctor Who Roleplaying Game from Cubicle 7.

Character notes

Durac is a Thal soldier and a descendant of Alydon and Dyoni, Thal leaders from their ancient days on Skaro. She was born on new Davius and her family are considered to be one of the more noble lineages on their new homeworld.

Following their crash on Galentor, their former Captain, Ganthos, decided to relinquish his command after becoming deeply affected by the trauma of the landing.  By common consent, it was agreed that Durac would take over due to the great respect she is held in.  Everyone was already aware how deeply she cared for her comrades and she was always considered the bravest of the marines on board the craft that crashed. Her strength, which would have already been great, has been raised to superhuman levels due to genetic engineering, as has her eyesight. Not afraid to command with authority, she can appear harsh at times, but this is only because she knows her soldiers can achieve so much with the right motivation.

Whilst strictly speaking she is a Lieutenant, she has for the time been given the acting field rank of Captain.

Durac would do anything for her soldiers, and her greatest wish is for them to be able to return one day to the Thal Interspatial Military so they can continue the war against the Dalek Empire.
